The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Kidnappers seize seven Europeans in Bekaa - March 24, 2011

NOW Lebanon’s correspondent reported on Wednesday that seven European citizens were kidnapped near the Bekaa city of Zahle.
“The kidnapping occurred while they were biking,” the correspondent added.
Al-Jazeera English reported that “masked gunmen in a black Mercedes and two white vans kidnapped the foreigners on a road between Zahle and Kfar Zabed.”
The news site added that the Estonian counsel in Lebanon said the kidnapped Europeans were Estonian, however the site also cited a source as saying that a Ukrainian identity document was found at the scene of the incident.
Meanwhile, the National News Agency reported that the European tourists entered Lebanon on their bikes from Syria.
