The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

July 14, 2010 - Now Lebanon - As-Safir: Bellemare to issue STL indictment before end of year

An anonymous diplomatic source from the UN told As-Safir newspaper in an interview published on Wednesday that Prosecutor of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) Daniel Bellemare expects to issue the STL indictment before the end of this year.

The source said he met with Bellemare during the prosecutor’s unannounced visit to the UN headquarters in New York.

The STL was set up to probe the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
