July 17, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Sakr wonders how Nasrallah knew about STL’s indictment

In an interview with OTV on Saturday, Lebanon First bloc MP Okab Sakr asked Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah how he knew the content of the indictment to be issued later this year by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) into the 2005 assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

Nasrallah said in a speech on Friday that an indictment by the tribunal is an “Israeli project” designed to target his party by stirring up sectarian strife in Lebanon.

“No one knows what the STL’s indictment will be,” Sakr said, adding that most media reports about the STL have been unfounded.

He also said that no one has an interest in Hezbollah being accused by the STL in Hariri’s assassination.
