Iloubnan - 11th day of Dr Abed Meneem Moussa's hunger strike and threat of arrest " - October 4, 2010

Today is the 11th day of the Dr Abed Meneem Moussa's hunger strike, yesterday (Monday, 4th of October) the Minister's Baroud head office Colonel Nassif came and told the Dr that Baroud is concerned about his health and he promises him to protect the Sudanese community and free the arbitrary detained but he is asking the Dr to stop his hunger strike. Of course the Dr reply was : " Thank you for coming, our regards to Mr. Baroud and his concern but first the detained should be released and the administration of the cultural club should be changed"
Ali Fakhry of the Anti Racism Movement organizes solidarity, support and tries to protect Abed Moussa Meneem from arrest. He reports also on the situation of the activist : Colonel Nassif left with a promise of changing the situation. Based on the coming of Colonel Nassif the Minister representative we thought that the General Security forces will stop harassing the Dr and not arrest him. We left him with no activist at night.  Today, the police came to arrest him and took him in a very bad health conditions to the police station.
The Sudanese activist called us and we came urgently to figure out what's going on. Luckily enough some journalists that we called arrived on the spot so the police left so the cameras do not film them arresting the Dr."
Now Ali Fakhry calls all Human rights activist to come to the Sudanes Cultural Club in Hamra to support Abed Meneem Moussa and to protect him against arrest.
