Now Lebanon - Emigrants have a constitutional right to vote, says Interior Ministry - October 11, 2010

“The right of Lebanese [living abroad] to vote [from their countries of residence] is a constitutional right… and we hope that everyone will cooperate with the Foreign Ministry to overcome any obstacles as quickly as possible,” the Interior Minister said in a statement issued on Monday.
“It is impermissible for [anything] to prevent Lebanese from their voting rights wherever they are,” the statement added.
The statement also said that the Interior Ministry has completed all the necessary steps to prepare for emigrant voting on the basis of the 2008 electoral law and has put itself at the Foreign Ministry’s disposal in the matter.
