Now Lebanon - Soueid: March 14 united in support of the STL - October 11, 2010

Christian and Muslim members of the March 14 alliance share a united stance in commitment to the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), March 14 General Secretariat Coordinator Fares Soueid told Future News on Monday evening.
Soueid added that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s upcoming state visit is welcome “on the official level,” adding that the Iranian leader will be received by March 14 representatives.
However, he added that March 14 will have doubts if Ahmadinejad’s visit goes beyond official bounds.
Ahmadinejad is expected to begin a two-day visit to Lebanon on Wednesday.
Tensions are high in Lebanon as March 8 politicians have called for the STL’s abolition, alleging that it has been politicized because witnesses misled the investigation with false testimony. In July, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the tribunal is an Israeli project and will indict members of his party in its investigation of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri’s 2005 murder.
