The Daily Star - Sayegh opens two social development centers - February 28, 2011

BEIRUT: Caretaker Social Affairs Minister Salim Sayegh inaugurated two social development centers, one in in the town of Bsabba, Iqlim al-Kharoub, and another in the town of Atrin, Chouf. “I am proud to say we successfully met the demands of Bsabba as the initiative was taken up by the town’s people and not by us,” Sayegh said in reference to the center, which was funded by Ankara. “When you know what you need, the funds and people who seek to do good would join efforts to help out.” He praised the role of Ankara in helping to set up the centers and called on all interested states to help in Lebanon’s development. “I also call on political parties to help the Lebanese state because no one can be stronger than his state.” – The Daily Star
