The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - SSNP members sentenced over plot to attack rally - March 1, 2011

BEIRUT: Military Prosecutor Judge Nizar Khalil sentenced five members of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party  to prison on charges of plotting attacks on a Kataeb (Phalange) Party rally in Koura in 2006. SSNP members Antoine Michel Mansour, Tony Khalil Beshwati, Abdallah Ishaq Sarkis and Adnan Ali Alawi had been indicted for having “verbally agreed” on planting a bomb at the Kataeb rally in Koura in a bid to disperse the gathering. The indicted were arrested with weapons and electric detonating equipments prior to the Kataeb rally. Two other individuals were sentenced to short-term prison sentences for confessing that they intended to take part in the crime. Hassan Ali Farhat was sentenced to four months in prison while Ghandi Abdel-Karim was given three months. –The Daily Star
