Now Lebanon - ISF ends Roumieh Prison riots - May 20, 2011

Internal Security Forces (ISF) Special Forces ended riots that broke out at the Roumieh Prison on Friday morning.
The National News Agency reported that the riots broke out in cell bloc D while ISF was inspecting the cells of all inmates in the compound.
The report said that the ISF cell inspections were triggered by an incident on Wednesday, in which an inmate threatened to kill a doctor by placing a knife to his throat, whilst undergoing a medical examination.
Inmates at Roumieh rioted in April, demanding a general amnesty, timely trials, and the improvement of prison conditions.
