The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

iloubnan - Jumblatt discussed civil status law with SSNP delegation - May 31, 2011

A delegation of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP) comprised of MP Marwan Fares and Issam Bitar visited on Tuesday head of the Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) MP Walid Jumblatt, the National News Agency reported.

Discussions highlighted the importance of the Civil Status Law whereby SSNP delegation said it is the sole salvation path for Lebanon.
Jumblatt, in turn, said PSP MPs will vote in favor of the law draft when it will be discussed during Parliamentary sessions.
