The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Saqr transfers UNIFIL case to army intelligence - May 30, 2011

Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr transferred the case of the explosion that targeted a UNIFIL convoy in South Lebanon to the Lebanese army Intelligence Directorate, the National News Agency reported on Monday.
Six Italian peacekeepers were wounded - two of them seriously - along with two civilians in a roadside bomb explosion targeting a UN patrol along a highway in south Lebanon on Friday
Voice of Lebanon (100.5) radio reported earlier in the day that security forces arrested five people, three Lebanese and two Palestinians, on suspicion for involvement in Friday’s UNIFIL attack.
