The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Prosecuter-general of the Ireland-based International Criminal Court, Judge Mohammad Hayat, arrived in Beirut on Wednesday with senior Egyptian magistrate Ayman Salameh to partake in a two day world conference at the Bustan hotel with a number of Arab and International lawyers partaking.

It is to note that members of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon were to join the conference to brief them over its finding preparation for the Hariri murder indictment.
