Now Lebanon - Inmates clash with security forces in Jbeil prison - May 28, 2011

Two inmates at the Jbeil prison clashed with security forces as they were being transported to the Tripoli prison on Saturday, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
The inmates broke the door of the military vehicle that was about to transport them from the compound and set their personal belongings on fire because they refused to be taken to Tripoli, the NNA said.
The report added that the inmates did not want to be transported to the Tripoli prison “because they had personal problems with other inmates there.”
It also said that the prisoners were taken back to the Jbeil facility, adding that they were among the inmates who came from the Roumieh Prison after April’s clashes.
Inmates at Roumieh rioted, demanding a general amnesty, timely trials, and the improvement of prison conditions.
