The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - ISF arrests father and daughter for involvement in murder, May 10 2012


The Internal Security Forces on Thursday issued a statement that its intelligence service arrested a father and his daughter for involvement in the murder of Lebanese citizen Bassem Tarabay in Kfarmata in Mount Lebanon.
The father confessed during interrogation that he killed Tarabay “for personal reasons,” the report added.
The killing took place at the murderer’s residence in Kfarmata. Tarabay’s body was found scorched and thrown in the area of Jisr al-Qadi in Mount Lebanon on May 6.
