The Daily Star - Army Intelligence sends Bekaa kidnappers to judiciary for trial, May 26 2012

BEIRUT: The Directorate of Army Intelligence sent Yousef Abdel-Hamid Izzeldin and Mohammad Majzoub, both Lebanese citizens, to the judiciary to be tried for kidnapping of Ahmad Ali Sakhr in Baaloul, in the Bekaa, according to a statement issued by the army Saturday.
The Army said that its investigation determined that the two men, along with four accomplices, abducted Sakhr on May 17 and took him to the Bekaa town of Arasal, after which they demanded a ransom in exchange for his release.
In the statement, the Army pointed out that Izzeldin and Majzoub have a history of engaging in organized crime, including kidnapping and smuggling.
The Army added that it is in pursuit of the two men’s accomplices, who remain at large, in order to detain them and send them to the judiciary for trial.
