BEIRUT:
A Lebanese man has been sentenced to three years prison for collaborating with
the Israeli state, judicial sources told The Daily Star Thursday.
The
sources said that Zaki Ali Idriss, 55, from the Bekaa Valley, was sentenced
late Wednesday night by Beirut’s military court on charges of collaborating
with Israel, providing it with information and entering the Jewish state.
Separately,
Military Investigating Judge Imad Zein issued an arrest warrant Thursday for K.
Nehmeh on charges of maintaining contact with Israeli agents.
Nehmeh was also accused of
providing the enemy with information about missing Israeli soldiers in Lebanon.
