The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - EDL denounces disappearance of Zouk plant employee, May 23 2012


BEIRUT: Electricite Du Liban denounced Wednesday the recent disappearance of one of its employees and said it was following up on the case.
“Electricite Du Liban denounces in the strongest terms the disappearance of Nimr Rashed, an employee at the Zouk power plant who went missing last Friday,” a statement from the company said.
The company also said it would follow up on the matter with relevant authorities “until all the circumstances surrounding Nimr’s disappearance” have been unveiled.
