The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Iloubnan - Ali Shami wants more time to study the issue of the Lebanese diaspora's right to vote - October 10, 2010

According to the National News Agency, Lebanese Foreign Minister Ali Shami wants the issue of Lebanese diaspora's right to vote to be removed from next Cabinet session's agenda. The next cabinet session is due on Tuesday. The Minister explained that he needs more time to study this issue.
