The Daily Star - Judiciary launches official probe into bomb attack on UNIFIL forces - July 05, 2011

BEIRUT: Military Prosecutor Judge Saqr Saqr launched an official investigation Monday into the roadside bomb attack in May that wounded six Italian peacekeepers serving as part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
There are currently no suspects in the case, but Saqr laid out charges which would be applied to any that are found. The charges include carrying out terrorist acts, forming an armed mob, executing the bomb attack on the UNIFIL peacekeepers and damaging public and private property.
On May 27th, a roadside bomb blew up a UNIFIL vehicle on a highway leading to the southern Lebanese port city of Sidon, wounding six Italian peacekeepers. Two Lebanese civilians, Tannous Tanios and Amine Daoud, were also slightly wounded.
Sakr referred the case to the military investigation prosecutor in a bid to identify the perpetrators and accomplices.
