The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Eighteen judges received threatening texts, Future News reports - May 18, 2011

Future News television on Wednesday evening quoted a judicial source as saying that 18 judges had received simultaneous threats via SMS on their cellular phones.
The judges received the threat from a number that was not used before or after the threats were made, the source also said, adding that the threats “are serious.”
The source also said that there are heightened security measures around justice palaces and courts, as well as around the judges who received the threats.
