The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Roumieh Prison inmates end hunger strike - May 15, 2011

The National News Agency on Sunday reported that 585 Roumieh prison inmates ended their week-old hunger strike
The inmates agreed to put an end to their actions after promises were made to them by officials, the report added.
Inmates at Roumieh rioted in April, demanding a general amnesty, timely trials, and the improvement of prison conditions.
