The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Tyre sheikh arrested on suspicion of Israeli collaboration, report says - May 24, 2011

Al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Tuesday that Lebanese army intelligence arrested a religious scholar in Tyre on Monday on suspicion of collaboration with Israeli intelligence.
The scholar, identified as Arab Islamic Council Secretary General Mohammad Ali H., was arrested at his house and taken to the Defense Ministry for interrogation, the report said.
