The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily Star - Lebanese woman found raped, murdered, November 22nd 2011


BEIRUT: The body of a 28-year-old Lebanese woman who was raped before she was killed was found Tuesday in the woods of Sahel Alma near Jounieh, north of Beirut, a security source said.
The source said the woman was found covered in blood, naked from the waist down.
A Syrian national working as a janitor at a monastery some 600 meters away from where the body was found has been arrested on suspicion of carrying out the murder.
