iloubnan- Araji: Mikati should quit cabinet if he fails to fund tribunal, November 21, 2011

Future Parliamentary bloc member Issam Araji told Lebanon free radio that Prime Minister Najib Mikati should submit his resignation if he fails to persuade the cabinet to finance the international tribunal.

He reminded that Mikati has in several occasions pledged to secure funds for the international tribunal.

"If Mikati fails to secure funding for the tribunal then he should resign from the cabinet to preserve his dignity and pride. The hour of truth has finally come and Mikati can no longer walk between the lines," the MP said.

He stressed that if funding for the tribunal was not secured then this proves that this cabinet is nothing more than Hezbollah government and Mikati has no power over it.

Araji added that the Syrian regime is in deep predicament due the internal events in the country.
