The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

iloubnan-Head of STL arrives in Beirut, November 23, 2011

Head of the Special International Tribunal for Lebanon, Judge David Paraguanth, arrived in Beirut Tuesday evening, coming from the French Capital, Paris, the National News Agency reported.

He is to meet during his visit with President of the Republic, General Michel Sleiman, as well as other officials involved in the work of the Tribunal and the academic and legal community. 

The report added that Paraguanth's visit is the first since his appointment as the new Tribunal Head succeeding the late Antonio Cassizy.
