NOW Lebanon- Palestinian envoy calls for resolving refugee camp security issues , December 17, 2011

Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon Abdallah Abdallah on Saturday called for resolving the security issues in Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp.
“All those who breach the law must be handed over to the judiciary,” Abdallah told MTV channel.
He also said “we, [the Palestinians], want to be a part of the security system that protects Lebanon.”
Ain al-Helweh, the largest Palestinian camp in the country, is home to about 50,000 refugees and is known to harbor extremists and fugitives.
By long-standing convention, the Lebanese army does not enter the country's 12 refugee camps, leaving security inside to the Palestinians themselves.
