The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Akhbar al-Yawm: Lebanese citizen ‘kidnapped’ by Syrian forces, May 10 2012


Residents of Aabboudiye in North Lebanon blocked the international road demanding the release of Lebanese citizen Mahmoud Mohammad al-Ibrahim reportedly kidnapped by Syrian forces, Akhbar al-Yawm news agency reported on Thursday.
“Aabboudiye residents have been blocking the international road since 3 a.m. demanding the release of Ibrahim who was [led] by a Syrian national to an [area] near the [Lebanese-Syrian] border where Syrian intelligence forces entered [Lebanese territory] and abducted him,” the report said.
It added that the residents “insist” on not reopening the road until Ibrahim is released.
