The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Wednesday’s attack on Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) investigators in Dahiyeh “shows that the tribunal did not take into consideration that this is a women’s clinic, and that it is looking at women’s files,” Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad told OTV on Wednesday evening.A group of women charged at STL investigators at a Beirut gynecology clinic in Dahiyeh on Wednesday morning and grabbed a briefcase from them, AFP reported.The incident shows that public opinion is against the STL, Fayyad said, adding that “there is no mover behind this demonstration against the investigation.”A Hezbollah source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told NOW Lebanon on Wednesday that his party was not in any way linked to the Dahiyeh incident.
