Now Lebanon - LBC: Calm restored inside, outside Roumieh Prison - April 6, 2011

Calm was restored both inside Roumieh Prison and its surrounding areas after riots broke out in the compound in the past days.
LBC television reported that the roads surrounding the compound, which were blocked by inmates’ family members, have been reopened.
However, the report added that “the riot police are still deployed outside the prison.”
Security forces stormed Roumieh Prison on Tuesday after talks failed to secure the release of three guards detained by inmates who have been demanding an amnesty and better conditions.
