Now Lebanon - Protests continue in Roumieh Prison - April 4, 2011

NBN television quoted on Monday an unnamed security source as saying that the protest in Roumieh Prison’s block D has ended, whereas the disturbances in block B are still continuing.
He added that the demonstrations are over the poor performance of some of the security officers in the facility.
The security forces are still working on a solution that avoids the use of force, NBN also reported, adding that only some of the inmates are participating in the protests.
The station also said that the prisoners have not detained anyone.
Future News reported Monday that protests broke out in the prison earlier in the day and that inmates in block B had detained an Internal Security Forces member.
A riot erupted in Roumieh Prison on Saturday when prisoners began protesting cell searches. The disobedience ended on Sunday after successful negotiations with the prisoners.
