Now Lebanon - Riot breaks out in Bekaa’s Jib Jannine prison - April 5, 2011

NOWLebanon’s correspondent quoted on Tuesday an unnamed security source as saying that a riot had occurred in Bekaa’s Jib Jannine prison.
The source said, however, that the situation in the prison is under control, adding “There is  nothing to worry about.”
“Security forces have taken all necessary measures.”
The riot comes after protests broke out in Roumieh’s Prison on Monday for the second time in 48 hours. Inmates at Roumieh– which is one of the biggest prisons in the Middle East and holds 4,500 inmates despite being built to hold only 1,500 – had been demanding an amnesty and better conditions.
