Now Lebanon - Syrian soldiers enter Lebanon, As-Sharq al-Awsat reports - July 20, 2011

Syrian soldiers crossed the border with Lebanon into Wadi Khaled, As-Sharq al-Awsat newspaper reported on Wednesday.
“The soldiers fired at houses and threatened the residents of the Lebanese village of Al-Nasoub,” said the report, adding that some residents are protecting Syrian refugees who have fled the country because of fears over the ongoing unrest.
“The Syrian authorities [wanted refugees] on charges of vandalism and incitement to overthrow the regime,” said the report.
Activists say the Syrian government's crackdown on pro-democracy and anti-regime protests has left more than 1,400 civilians dead. Thousands more have been jailed.
