NOW Lebanon- Future bloc accuses Hezbollah of attempted kidnapping , November 22, 2011

Future bloc MPs on Tuesday accused Hezbollah “militants” of attempting to kidnap a Syrian national in Bekaa and condemned the assault against a Lebanese army patrol.
MPs Mohammad Kabbara, Khaled Daher and Mouin al-Merhebi said that “a group of men… including members from Hezbollah’s militia entered Aarsal on Monday night and attempted to kidnap a Syrian national.”
Following their meeting at Kabbara’s residence, the MPs said that residents of Aarsal “peacefully confronted” the group and thwarted the attempt to kidnap the Syrian national “who is not wanted by the Lebanese judiciary.”
The MPs also said in a statement that Lebanese Army Intelligence members participated in the attempted kidnapping.
The MPs called on the Lebanese army command to carry out a transparent investigation into the assault against one its patrols on Monday night in Aarsal.
According to a statement issued earlier on Tuesday, the army said one of its patrols was assaulted while tracking outlaws in Bekaa’s town of Aarsal.
