NOW Lebanon- Gengenian: Objecting to STL funding will harm Lebanon’s image , November 23, 2011

Lebanese Forces bloc MP Shant Gengenian said Wendesday that "objecting to the subsidization of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) despite the president and the prime minister's commitment to it will harm Lebanon's image."

“If Lebanon does not pay its share of the STL funding, the outstanding amount will increase,” Gengenian told Free Lebanon Radio.
Four Hezbollah members have been indicted by the UN-backed court for the 2005 assassination of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri. However, the Shia group strongly denied the charges and refuses to cooperate with the court. Meanwhile, Mikati has repeatedly voiced Lebanon’s commitment to the tribunal.
Lebanon contributes 49 percent of the STL’s annual funding.
