The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon- Mikati promises to follow up on prisoners’ demands , November 21, 2011

LBC television reported on Monday that Prime Minister Najib Mikati promised to follow up on the demands of Lebanese prisoners.
To this effect, Mikati requested that Attorney General Judge Said Mirza accelerate the trials of the inmates who have not yet been judged.
The PM also called Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil and asked him to follow up on the inmates health issues.
Earlier on Monday, relatives of detainees in Lebanese prisons attempted to break into Beirut’s Grand Serail and protested against their relatives’ situation in the prisons.
