NOW Lebanon- Prisoners’ relatives attempt to storm Beirut’s Grand Serail , November 21, 2011

Relatives of detainees in Lebanese prisons attempted to break into Beirut’s Grand Serail on Monday, LBC’s website reported.
Security forces closed all entrances to the Grand Serail, the report also said, adding that the demonstrators were protesting against their relatives’ situation in the prisons.
The report added that around 500 people took part in the demonstration.
A number of riots broke out earlier in the year in Roumieh Prison, while families of inmates have staged protests calling for improved prisoner rights and a general amnesty for their detained relatives.
