NOW Lebanon- New TV: Roumieh inmates go on hunger strike , November 19, 2011

New TV reported on Saturday that inmates at Lebanon’s Roumieh prison went on a hunger strike, adding that the prison’s security forces refused to receive their notice of the strike.
The channel said that prisoners are also complaining about power cuts in the compound.
“Also, the inmates said that they will hold a peaceful [protest] tomorrow afternoon,” the report said, adding that “six prisoners are suffering from a low blood pressure and need to be hospitalized.”
“The security forces said that they cannot transfer the aforementioned prisoners to the hospital because their sickness needs to be confirmed first.”
