NOW Lebanon-LBC: Roumieh inmates go on hunger strike , December 12, 2011

LBC television reported on Sunday that some of Roumieh Prison inmates began a hunger strike to pressure the relevant authorities to implement their demands.
The station also said that more than 400 inmates are participating in the hunger strike, adding that among the inmates’ demands is reducing a year’s sentence in prison to nine months.

  1. the strike is still going on, new prisoners are forced to strike and are starving. Who's running things over there? The prisoners are running the show. Those who do not wish to particpate in this hunger are forced to by the prisoners in charge. Major human rights violations going on.
