The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

NOW Lebanon- Sleiman commends draft law on expatriates , December 14, 2011

President Michel Sleiman on Tuesday commended the cabinet’s approval of a draft law allowing originally Lebanese people to acquire Lebanese nationality.

The president also called on the parliament to ratify the law, saying it would strengthen expatriates’ ties with Lebanon, the National News Agency reported.
The agency added that Sleiman separately discussed the latest developments with Environment Minister Nazem al-Khoury and former minister Elias al-Murr.
