July 23, 2010 - Now Lebanon - Hashem to Hariri: Stop Hezbollah accusations

Change and Reform bloc MP Abbas Hashem pleaded for Prime Minister Saad Hariri and the leaders of Saudi Arabia to put an end to accusations against Hezbollah, MTV reported on Friday.

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah held a press conference on Thursday claiming Hariri told him back in May that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) would indict Hezbollah members in the 2005 assassination of former Premier Rafik Hariri.

Hashem said whoever tipped the PM off clearly wants to incite internal conflict. It is Hariri’s responsibility as prime minister to prevent harm, he added.
