The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Police raid espionage suspect’s home, arrest wife and son - February 28, 2011

Police raided suspected Israeli agent Farouq Khalil Choucair’s house in the southern town of Mays al-Jabal on Sunday and arrested his wife and son, NOW Lebanon’s correspondent reported.
The Internal Security Forces (ISF) Information Branch unit also confiscated computers and video recordings from the residence, the report said.
Choucair was arrested on Thursday morning on suspicion of collaborating with Israeli intelligence, according to the ISF.
