The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

The Daily Star - Authorities make arrests linked to thefts, drugs - April 2, 2011

BEIRUT: Members of a gang of suspected motorcycle thieves were arrested Friday, according to security sources. In Choueifat, a police patrol apprehended two men, Hassan Zahreddine and Hassan Othman, for allegedly stealing motorcycles and using drugs. Separately, in Sidon, an Internal Security Forces anti-terrorism unit arrested a Palestinian national, Yasser Hleihel, on suspicion of weapons smuggling, while in the Beirut suburb of Hay al-Sellom, a police patrol arrested Ahmad Attar on multiple arrest warrants for drug crimes. – The Daily Star
