The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Two inmates in Roumieh have been reportedly killed according to different Lebanese media sources.

One inmate was killed after the ISF stormed the prison on Tuesday night and the second one died of a cardiac attack, media reports suggested.

There has not been any official confirmation of the news.

The ISF stormed Lebanon's largest prison on Tuesday night after talks failed to secure the release of three guards detained by inmates who have been demanding an amnesty and better conditions.
