The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

US Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly on Wednesday met with Labor Minister Charbel Nahhas, according to a statement issued by the US embassy.
The statement added that the US envoy discussed with the minister the issue of human trafficking and the moves the government can take to “improve the trafficking in persons situation in Lebanon.”
“Connelly also discussed with Minister Nahhas the government’s plans to implement changes in the labor law relating to Palestinian workers.
