The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Al-Manar denies reports two men killed belong to Hezbollah - August 11, 2011


Hezbollah’s Al-Manar television denied on Thursday reports that the two men killed in an explosion earlier in the day where members of the Shia group.
A security source told New TV that the two men where members of Hezbollah.
“The two men intended to cause commotion in the Christian regions,” said the anonymous source.
Two men were killed in Antelias, a predominantly Christian Beirut suburb, in a parking lot when explosives they were handling detonated, causing a huge blast.
