Now Lebanon - Corruption is a life style in Lebanon, says Aoun - August 11, 2011

Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun said on Wednesday evening that Lebanon lost its funds because of politicians “stealing and squandering” money, adding that “corruption has become a life style” that everyone accepts in Lebanon.
Aoun asked Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi why he is “slow” in launching investigations regarding “squandered and stolen” funds and regarding other issues related to forging documents and establishing fake companies, the National News Agency reported.
There are many issues that Safadi must look into, Aoun also said, adding that the financial prosecutor general should look into the lawsuits the bloc has filed.
“These lawsuits have been field more than two years ago. None of them has been [addressed].”
