The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Daily star - Escaped inmate from Aley Prison apprehended, August 18, 2011

BEIRUT: A Palestinian fugitive who escaped from Aley Prison over three weeks ago was arrested Wednesday, according to a statement issued by the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces.
Based on directions by Interior Minister Marwan Charbel, ISF commander Major General Ashraf Rifi issued strict orders to all ISF divisions to take all necessary actions and measures to pursue and arrest all escaped prisoners, the statement said.
In light of these orders, the ISF information division arrested Palestinian fugitive, Rida Mahmoud Shabib, who had escaped on July 24 from Aley Prison, where he was being detained on charges of armed robbery and theft, resisting police, and wounding soldiers.
