The Lebanese Center for Human Rights (CLDH) is a local non-profit, non-partisan Lebanese human rights organization in Beirut that was established by the Franco-Lebanese Movement SOLIDA (Support for Lebanese Detained Arbitrarily) in 2006. SOLIDA has been active since 1996 in the struggle against arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance and the impunity of those perpetrating gross human violations.

Now Lebanon - Saqr inspects Antelias explosion - August 11, 2011


Government Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr inspected the area of the Antelias explosion on Thursday. He assigned the security forces to carry out a preliminary investigation so as to reveal the circumstances of the explosion, the National News Agency reported.
Two men were killed in Antelias in a parking lot when explosives they were handling detonated, causing a huge blast, a police official told AFP.
