Now Lebanon - Geagea: There’s sufficient evidence for investigation into Antelias explosion - August 11, 2011

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea said on Thursday that today’s incident has sufficient evidence in order to pursue an investigation. He also added that he will wait for the results of the investigation before further commenting on the topic.
Two men were killed in Antelias in a parking lot when explosives they were handling detonated, causing a huge blast, a police official told AFP.
Commenting on the parliament’s disapproval of the electricity draft bill submitted by Change and Reform bloc leader MP Michel Aoun, Geagea said that some are trying to make it seem that “some parties want electricity and others do not.”
The LF leader said he does not mind increasing the fund to produce more electricity, adding, however, that such a plan should be monitored.
On Wednesday, most MPs objected to adopting Aoun’s draft bill to transfer 1.2 billion dollars to the Energy Ministry, arguing that the proposal was not comprehensive. The parliament adjourned the discussion of the bill.
