Now Lebanon - Jouzo: Rafik Hariri 'murderers' are killing Syrian people - August 10, 2011

Mufti of Mount Lebanon Sheikh Mohammad Ali Jouzo said on Tuesday during an Iftar that the murderers of  ex-Prime Minister Rafik Hariri "are killing the Syrian people today," the National News Agency reported on Wednesday.
Jouzo, who was representing Grand Mufti Mohammad Rashid Qabbani, added that "[These criminals] cannot escape [trial]."
He also criticized Syrian leaders for "killing their people," and called for supporting the Syrian protesters.
Syria's government has sought to crush the democracy movement with force, leaving at least 2,059 people dead, including 391 members of the security forces, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) indicted members of the Iranian and Syrian-backed Hezbollah in connection to the 2005 assassination of Hariri, but Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah ruled out their arrest.
